solstice celebration
monday we asked ali to watch wren for a few hours. when we went to pick wren up kathy asked us to stay for dinner. at first we said no, we had plans to go to minneapolis wonderment for a sostice party. but then kathy started talking about the menu. eventually, we said yes. we had to. for salmon, and beet salad, and whitefish salad, and pickled cucumbers. oh, and the cake. with fresh strawberries. we made a good choice. we had a gorgeous evening, amazing food, made daisy chains, and sat by the bonfire. loved it. we might have to coincidentally pick wren up around dinner time more often!
